WHAT IS DERMASILK®?

DermaSilk® is an innovative line of therapeutic garments designed for individuals suffering from skin or mucous membrane issues (such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, mycosis, candidiasis) or those with sensitive skin. Its efficacy arises from the synergy between the beneficial properties of pure silk fibroin (the finest component of silk, highly similar to human skin) and the protective action of a permanent antimicrobial agent. This agent controls and inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi on the fabric, while simultaneously preserving the natural bacterial flora of the skin and mucous membranes. The antimicrobial protection endures throughout the product’s lifespan, without migrating to the skin or environment, and is resistant to wear and washing.

The seams of the therapeutic garments are not only exceptionally thin but are also designed to prevent friction upon contact with the skin; for children up to 3 years of age, the seams are located on the exterior. DermaSilk® garments are natural silk-colored and have not undergone any dyeing process. A limited number of products are manufactured from dyed yarn (e.g., tights, comfort socks) or dyed with cellulose (e.g., black briefs), and these do not exhibit color loss.
