WHAT IS DERMASILK®?

DermaSilk® is an innovative line of therapeutic garments for individuals suffering from skin or mucous membrane problems (such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, mycosis, candidiasis) or with sensitive skin. Its effectiveness stems from the synergistic action between the beneficial properties of pure silk fibroin (the finest part of silk, very similar to our skin) and the protective effect of a permanent antimicrobial agent. The latter controls and prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi on the fabric, while preserving the natural bacteria of the skin and mucous membranes. The antimicrobial protection lasts for the entire lifespan of the product (no migration to the skin or environment occurs; it withstands use and washing).

DermaSilk® is beneficial because:

> limits perspiration and maintains proper thermal and hydrolipidic balance;

The DermaSilk® range is patented and is a CE-marked Class I medical device.
The seams of the therapeutic garments are not only exceptionally thin but are also designed to prevent friction upon contact with the skin; for children up to 3 years of age, the seams are located on the exterior. DermaSilk® garments are natural silk-colored and have not undergone any dyeing process. A limited number of products are manufactured from dyed yarn (e.g., tights, comfort socks) or dyed with cellulose (e.g., black briefs), and these do not exhibit color loss.
